What is Nakama?

Nakama is a calm AI work companion that lives in a Chrome side panel. It keeps your whole workday — email, calendar, files, chat, meetings, and your dev and analytics tools — one click away beside any tab, so you stop losing your place switching between apps. Nakama is made by Rexplore Inc.

It is built to feel quiet and trustworthy: it acts only on the context you choose, and never sends, posts or schedules anything on your behalf without your approval.

Install and sign in

  • Add Nakama to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store, then open it from Chrome's side-panel button (pin it to the toolbar for one-press access).
  • Sign in with Google. Your Google Workspace apps work right away, for free — no extra setup.
  • That's it. The side panel opens beside whatever tab you're on and stays with you as you browse.

How the side panel works

  • The rail runs down the right edge and holds an icon for every app — your Google Workspace apps plus anything you add from the Marketplace.
  • Open and close. Press an app's icon to open its panel; press it again to close it.
  • The Briefing shows when no app is selected — your day at a glance.
  • The + (Add) button at the bottom of the rail opens the Marketplace, where you connect more tools.

Your Google Workspace (built in)

Signing in with Google gives you these apps in the panel at no cost — they're the panel's home apps and need no extra connection:

  • Gmail — read, search, summarize threads and draft replies.
  • Calendar — your schedule, with week numbers and holidays.
  • Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides — find and open your files.
  • Meet — start or join a call.
  • Google Chat — read conversations and reply.

AI you can use

Nakama's AI helps you move faster, with you in control:

  • Summarize any thread — email or chat — in a sentence or two.
  • Draft replies in your voice, with control over tone, length and language. You review before anything sends.
  • Translate in place — business messages, with the nuance professional writing needs.
  • Turn anything into a Todo — drag a message onto your Todo or Calendar panel.

Nakama is not an AI company. AI runs on Nakama credits (available on Pro and Team), or you can bring your own OpenAI or Claude key. The AI only ever acts on the context you select.

The daily briefing

When no app is open, the Briefing greets you with everything you need to start the day: today's weather, a world clock, a calendar with week numbers and your holidays, and the day's agenda from your Google Calendar. Click any date to see that day's holidays and events.

The Marketplace and integrations

Press + (Add) in the rail to open the Marketplace and connect more tools. Some open in their own panel — read and send messages, act on a message, follow design comments, see today's meetings — and others pin a one-click tile to the rail. Each connection stores its access token only in your browser's local extension storage, never on Nakama's servers.

Here are the apps you can connect today. Open a guide for step-by-step setup, permissions and how to disconnect:

SlackRead and send Slack messages without leaving the panel.
TelegramYour Telegram chats, live inside the side panel.
ZoomSee today's meetings and start one in a click.
Microsoft TeamsOne-click access to Teams from the rail.
DropboxOne-click access to Dropbox from the rail.
NotionOne-click access to Notion from the rail.
ConfluenceOne-click access to Confluence from the rail.
FigmaBrowse projects and keep up with design comments.
GitHubOne-click access to GitHub from the rail.

Beyond the guides above, you can also connect Webex, Instagram, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4) and eFax, with more added over time.
